We find that this trek is an ideal alternative to the often overcrowded Inca Trails. And of course this amazing trek touches the base of the sacred Salkantay Mountain (6.271m/ 20569ft), one of the highest and most impressive peaks in the Peruvian Andes. The trek passes trough small communities and beautiful landscapes. On the fourth day it reaches Aguas Caliente, the small city below Machu Picchu. On the last morning we visit the ruins of the lost city of the Incas - Machu Picchu

The program has been designed to make sure our cherished guest experience the much needed time for acclimatisation before setting out on the trek. The trek itself has been reduced to two overnights in trekking camps. The rest of the tour can be enjoyed in the comfort of a proper bed and a hot shower. All this, without reducing the experience and the beauty of the Salkantay Trek, on the contrary you will be well rested to experience the most amazing lost city of the Incas - Machu Picchu.

If you want true adventure, this is your trek. Few people are aware of Choquequirao an Inca City above the Apurimac Canyon. During its glory it equalled the beauty and importance of Machu Picchu. The challenging trek traverses the Vilcababmba range, stopping at the stunning Inca sites of Choquequirao, Llactapata, and Machu Picchu. The 58km trail is one of the most diverse and spectacular in Peru.
View TrekIt is no secret that over the last decade the Inca Trail has seen an increase in popularity, to the point that the environment and trail have become overburdened. For this reason, access is regulated and permits are required months in advance.
At Q’inti we carefully design routes that allow you to explore a rich alternative experience. These give you the best Andean landscapes, meaningful local encounters, and memorable trekking opportunities without losing the spirit of discovery.
